The photocopied text written in Romanian reads ‘I looked at you, I forgot myself’. The same word ‘uitare’ is used to express ‘looking at’ and ‘forgetting’. Each row of copies is sliced according to various framerates, from 14 up to 240fps. Then pasted along the width of a wall accommodating the architecure of the gallery.
Shown at John Hansard Gallery as part of ‘Work Score/Studio Host’, an event organised with Aaron Tan in response to Anne Tallentire’s exhibition ‘Material Distance’.
